Monterey, California – September 13, 2007:  Digital Schools announces the addition of Chuck Emerick as its new Sales Manager and Mark Woodlief as a senior member of the technology development team.

Chuck Emerick is affiliated with Digital Schools of California where will manage sales operations from the Los Angeles market area and is responsible for new business development as well as product launch activities.

"Chuck brings to our organization and clients an impressive background serving the educational market, with emphasis in the California and Western region,” said Sarah Beyne, CEO. “He is a seasoned professional who understands the needs and interests of the educational community and is able to not only respond with our product offerings but to effectively communicate development needs and priorities.”

For the past ten years, Chuck has represented technology and product offerings to the educational market including Education Advantage/Apple Computer, Scientific Learning and Discovery Communications among others. He holds a number of certifications including CTS, Certified Technology Specialist, Certified Digital Curriculum, and Certified Service Provider of Scientific Learning Products, Certificate in Professional Selling Skill and Sales Negotiations, Learning International, Apple Product Professional Certification - ranked in the top 10 - and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) currently pursing certification.

Mark Woodlief is a key member of the Digital Schools technology development team and is responsible for a number of new of initiatives associated with the ’08 Digital Schools Suite™ releases including the new reports functionality enabling customized report capabilities.

"Mark is an accomplished Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Object-Oriented design and analysis with extensive experience in the full life-cycle of the software design process,” said Bryan Banks, Director of Technology. “He brings the specific training and requirements that enable us to meet development demands and priorities with the level of expertise and vision that the education market so richly deserves.”

Prior to joining Digital Schools, Mark was a software architect and senior engineer with Simio where he was primarily responsible for the architecture of a cutting-edge Windows application based on mapping, geo referencing, and aggregation of large amounts of maps and data in an intuitive user interface. Mark is well versed in the software languages of C++, C#, VB.NET, SQL, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, XAML, XML and platforms of UNIX (with Mono.Net), Mac OSX , and all versions of Windows including Tablet PC.
